Nagashima Spa Land is Japan's thrill capital, home to Steel Dragon 2000 — still the longest roller coaster ever built at 2,479 metres — plus the hybrid Hakugei, widely ranked among the world's top ten coasters, and the standing-to-floorless Acrobat. The site pairs the park with a natural hot-spring complex, the Jazz Dream outlet mall and the seasonal Nabana no Sato illumination gardens, so a visit rarely stops at the rides.

Good to know
- Who it suits
- Thrill-focused with one of the world's strongest coaster line-ups, but the adjoining Kids Town and water park make it workable for families

- Weekdays in late spring or autumn; avoid Golden Week, Obon and summer weekends when the water park is packed
- Dining
- Japanese food courts and casual restaurants, plus extensive dining at the neighbouring outlet mall

- Outside food and drink are not permitted.
- Weather cover
- Mostly open-air coaster park on Ise Bay; the hot spring complex and indoor dining give cover, but rides close in wind and heavy rain.

- Stroller / pushchair hire and Lockers available on site.
- Currency & payment
