Disney's Animal Kingdom overview
Disney's Animal Kingdom at a glance
A Disney World park that blends a real zoo with immersive themed lands.
Animal Kingdom blends a genuine accredited zoo with themed lands of extraordinary craft. Pandora – The World of Avatar is widely considered the best-themed land ever built, and Kilimanjaro Safaris puts live savanna animals a few metres from the truck.
Expedition Everest remains one of the finest Disney coasters.
Our editor's recommendation
Worth a day, but build it into a wider trip rather than flying in for it. It ranks #48 of the 50 parks we score, at 6.4/10 with 28 rides and attractions and a typical visit of about 8 hours. Tickets run $109–$189 a day. The strongest reasons to go are its family-friendly range. The honest catch: tickets are expensive for what you get, and queues average around 29 minutes. Best time to visit: Winter.
